2015 marks the 90th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry. One of the many ways in which the Opry is celebrating is through the release of a series of music collections called Opry 9.0.

Each volume will feature music by new and rising stars who represent the future of the Opry and will help to get the legendary venue to its 100th anniversary.

The first collection--released Tuesday June 30th--is called OPRY 9.0, Vol 1: Discoveries From the Circle.

It features six live performances by Chase Bryant, JT Hodges, and Drake White.

Other releases will follow during the Grand Ole Opry's 90th year. Like Volume 1, these collections will feature artists who will be making numerous Opry appearances during the anniversary year.

In the press release for Volume 1, Opry vice president and general manager, Pete Fisher, noted that the Grand Ole Opry has always been a launching venue for new artists, dating back to its first year, 1925.

Fisher also says that the artists selected for the Opry 9.0 project were chosen because they have stood out to the Opry audiences when they've performed.
