In The First Family of Racing, cowritten by Danny May, Earl Hayden provides his account of growing up in Kentucky, falling in love with racing and watching his sons rise to national and international prominence in the sport. Nicky Hayden was the 2006 MotoGP World Champion and his brothers, Tommy and Roger, were both AMA Pro Road Racing National Champs.

The new book is available now at the Hayden Brothers' official website and at Amazon.  Speaking of Amazon, here's their official plot summary of the book . . .

Family, faith, and racing: Written in the unmistakable voice of Earl the Squirrel Hayden, The First Family of Racing gives readers an inside look into the lives of the Hayden motorcycle racing dynasty. Fans will laugh at funny family stories, relive racing memories, and enjoy Earl s firsthand account of growing up in a small town, falling in love with racing, raising kids, seeing the world along the MotoGP circuit, and surviving cancer with faith and hope. Even the most diehard fans are sure to learn something new as Earl recounts the early days of teaching his young children to ride, then crisscrossing the country with all five kids, watching them race and eventually become US and world champions. Earl s story is interspersed with chapters written by Tommy, Jenny, Nicky, Kathleen, Roger Lee, and Rose.

The suggested retail price of The First Family of Racing is $20 and all proceeds will benefit the St. Joseph's Peace Mission for Children, a charity the Hayden Family has supported for years.

The First Family of Racing is published by Butler Books.
