The headline says it best! One of these Owensboro men is going to get a fabulous makeover by a professional drag queen. And it's going to happen on Saturday, June 11th at the 2nd Annual Drag Bingo event at the Owensboro Convention Center.
That event, by the way, sold out in a single weekend, but there's still a way for you to be involved and have some fun in the event that you didn't get tickets. As RuPaul says, for the first time in "herstory", the stars of the show will be giving a professional drag makeover at the event. And that makeover will go one of the following three men:
RON RHODES (Eyewitness News Meteorologist)
JUSTIN RIGHTMYER (local real estate agent)
GARRETT LEONARD (Production Manager for Cowboylesque Nashville)
Now, here's how it's going to work and how the champion will be crowned. Starting today, you can vote for the man you'd like to see get that professional drag makeover at Drag Bingo. The man who earns the most votes (i.e. the one who raises the most money for New Beginnings) is going to win and be invited to perform on stage, in drag, with our professional queens on June 11th. In addition to walking the runway in drag, Ron, Justin and Garrett have also selected songs they'll lip-sync and perform if they win.
Now, here's how to vote! Basically, one dollar equals one vote.
All proceeds will benefit from New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services, which serves child and adult victims in the seven counties in the GRADD district. If you'd like more information about New Beginnings, its programs and therapeutic services, visit the official website.
