Gaming Machines in Owensboro Will Benefit Local Sexual Assault Support Services Agency

The state of Kentucky has sanctioned charitable electronic pull-tab machines and a portion of the proceeds from those machines benefit nonprofits throughout the Commonwealth. Eight of those machines here in the City of Owensboro, thanks to a contract with Grover Gaming, will directly benefit New Beginnings, which provides free therapy services for adult and child victims of sexual abuse and rape. The agency also provides imperative educational services for children and adults to increase awareness about the prevalence of sexual crime in our communities and how to identify and prevent those crimes and the importance of reporting one if it occurs.

New Beginnings (Green River Regional Rape Victim Services, Inc. DBA New Beginnings License #ORG0001794) has partnered with two Owensboro businesses that now feature those charitable gaming machines: Danos Cigar Lounge, LLC (3830 Kentucky Hwy 54) and River's Edge Tobacco Outlet (304 East 4th Street).

The machines are available for play during regular business hours at both businesses.  Here's a look at the machines inside each location.
