Freezin’ For A Reason

The 2011 Polar Bear Plunge is Saturday, February 5th at The Hines Center in Philpot!  And, basically, we want you to go jump in a lake!  Literally!

Our goal this year is 150 plungers and, if we reach it, Jaclyn and I are going to take the plunge too!  (Picture it!  I'm shivering as I type!  And, remind me to tell you about the time I fell into Panther Creek while filming the home video "Karate Kid Vs. Rambo."  It was 39 degrees outside and Karate Kid got frost-bite in unspeakable and unfortunate places!)  At any rate, Jaclyn and I are willing to plunge because this is an awesome cause!  All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Kentucky and we have some amazing athletes here in the Commonwealth, some of whom won gold medals recently on the world stage!  So, come on, take the plunge!  Each plunger simply raises $75 for the right to plunge into The Hines Center lake on the 5th!  There are great fundraising incentives and the grand prize is a CARNIVAL CRUISE VACATION!!  For complete details, visit the Special Olympics of Kentucky's website here.
