Get Free Lunch from the Daviess County Summer Feeding Program [Gallery]
Last week, Angel and I visited Meadow Lands Elementary School to get a first-hand look at how the Daviess County Public Schools Summer Feeding Program works. We wanted a little taste of the behind-the scenes action. And, yes! I won't lie. We also wanted a little taste of what the team was cooking up.
The DCPS Summer Feeding Program
Again, the most important takeaway here is that the program is open to ALL families. As Angel wrote previously, "Food in the summer can be super expensive and this (program) can help ease those costs in all households."
The program serves from a variety of locations in the county on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and is open to any child under the age of 18.
