Job Description

 

Performance Improvement Specialist II plans, participates in, and leads projects and activities that help Energy Delivery achieve business unit objectives. The level II specialist is responsible to understand business processes in a wide range of organizational areas and to utilize structured process improvement and problem solving methods that will sustainably add value. Works cooperatively with cross functional teams and departments to seek improvements to solve specific problems. The specialist is capable of proactively building on prior projects to identify and extend improvements in related areas.

 

Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to create standardized processes, implement continuous improvement opportunities, and partner with IT PMO Project managers on Energy Delivery application implementations that support business unit initiatives. Proficiently uses full range of company standard tools for project management and continuous improvement. Perform financial and cost-benefit analyses using a variety of analytical tools and methods. Works with Energy Delivery business units to plan, prepare, and implement solutions, including all aspects necessary for change management.

Qualifications

 

Academic Qualifications Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Research, Organizational Management or other related discipline.

Preferred: Major/Minor: Industrial / manufacturing engineering, business, operations research, organizational management.

Work Experience Essential: 2 – 4 years of experience in business process analysis, project management, quality/improvement initiatives, financial analysis and facilitation.

Preferred: Experience in utility industry. Experience with technical reporting tools such as Access, Banner, MAXIMO, and Oracle.

Experience in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Word. Experience in project management, performance metrics, or change management.

Salary/Hourly Wage

55,000 - 83,000
