The Kentucky Crafted Market Returns to Lexington in March
I have a number of friends and a family member who are craft devotees. If there's a craft market, craft fair, vendor mall, or even a store that sells yarn within a (fill in the blank)-mile radius, they are there.
I find it fascinating and mainly because I don't have that in me. Oh yes, I find the finished products very impressive, but I can't create them. I've never had that kind of artistic bone in my body. And craft lovers, as we know, hit the jackpot in the run-up to Christmas, since there are expos and fairs galore that tout their holiday shopping opportunities.
But now, it's February with no big gift-giving occasions on the horizon--at least in the near term. (No, I don't count Valentine's Day; it doesn't scream "crafts as gifts" to me.) Well, if you can tap the brakes on your excitement, you only have to wait less than a month and then you satisfy that crafty itch.
The Kentucky Crafted Market Returns

There are 28 new artists who have been accepted into the Kentucky Crafted program. The Kentucky Arts Council initiative boosts craft and visual artists with networking and business training, as well as providing opportunities to display and promote their work.
That's one of the reasons the Kentucky Crafted Market is such an important event on the Commonwealth's calendar. It's a boon to the creator and a boon to the enthusiast.
The Kentucky Crafted Market returns to Lexington's Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park on Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th.
