William Shatner to Return to KY for a Special Screening
One of the coolest things that's ever happened to me was when I got to interview the icon, Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner a few years ago. We talked about his country album and his appearance in Evansville for a view of one of the Star Trek movies. A question & answer session followed.
The 93-year-old living legend belies his years by being about as active as you could expect a nonagenarian to be. Three years ago, AFTER he turned 90, he went where several men--but him--had gone before. It was as fitting an event as any I've ever heard of; William Shatner traveling into outer space aboard Jeff Bezos' space shuttle.
Now THAT'S a great way to stay active.
His love of horses has also kept him busy.
He still owns a home in Versailles, although he doesn't live there full time. But he DOES love the Commonwealth, and he's coming back. Shatner is set to once again hang with his fans at a special screening of the new documentary William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill which will be followed by an hour-long Q & A.
"A Kentucky Evening With William Shatner" happens at the Kentucky Theater in Lexington on October 4th. General attendees will enjoy the red carpet treatment--just like a premiere--and a special photo op while VIP guests will be able to attend an after-party and enjoy a "Shot with Shatner."
