The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade is Saturday, November 23rd and there has been a lot of speculation and debate about this year's route.  Construction in downtown Owensboro has forced the parade committee to move their event, which is traditionally held solely on 2nd Street.  So, what will be the route this year?

This year due to construction in the heart of Downtown Owensboro, the Christmas Parade is forced to alter its start time and parade route. This year’s parade will begin at 5pm on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the intersection of E 2nd Street and Pearl Street. The parade will march west on 2nd Street, South onto Triplett Street, then turn west onto East 3rd Street. Once the parade reaches Frederica Street it will head north and then west on W 2nd Street. The parade will end at W 2nd Street and Locust Street.
