The 85th Annual Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade was Saturday evening in downtown Owensboro. The cloudy afternoon and chilly temperatures didn't put a single damper on the holiday spirit and the event, billed as the place "Where Kentucky Starts Christmas," delivered.
The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade includes marching bands, floats, vintage automobiles, clowns, queens, and as always Santa Claus will be the featured guest. We have the official line-up!
Christmas Wish and their team of volunteers were named grand marshal of this year's Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade. The 85th Annual Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade happens Saturday, November 18th, 2023, in downtown Owensboro at 4:30 p.m.
It may be the middle of October, but in a little over a month, the 85th Annual Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade, the second-largest parade in Kentucky, will commence.
After skipping 2020 due to COVID-19, the Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade will return to downtown Owensboro. But, this year's parade will look a bit different.
After careful consideration and much discussion with public health officials, the annual parade, "Where Kentucky Starts Christmas," has been canceled this year.
