Kendra Gehring had this to say about the program, "We have a Death Row Dog from several years ago and I can't recommend these dogs enough! Our boy came to us crate trained, housebroken, and with some basic obedience...easiest new dog I've ever had! I wish we were in a place to add another doggo to our household because I'd definitely love to get another Death Row Dog."

About the Death Row Dogs Program (DRD)

Green River Correctional Complex (GRCC) is the proud home of the Death Row Dog Program (DRD). This name was initially given to the program, due to giving these dogs a second chance for a new life. DRD has been up and running since 2004. The program started with 24 dogs in each class. Over the years, the number has decreased and there are now 12 dogs per class. The dogs in the program are housed with two inmate trainers who are responsible for their needs and training for the 12-week program.
