It may have seemed like a fun April Fool's Day prank. Only, it's not. Earlier today, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari posted this video to social media.

Yes! That's a very large rubber duck. And, I know. It looks too big to be true. But, guess what? It's real and it's headed to the Tristate.

While some folks were quick to assume that Holiday World's big April Fool's Day announcement was an elaborate hoax, park officials quickly confirmed that it's not a joke or a drill.

THE WORLD'S LARGEST RUBBER DUCK

The World's Largest Rubber Duck is indeed coming to Santa Claus, Indiana for a new event called Rubber Duck Days.

By the way, here are a few photos of that gigantic duck so you can get an idea of the scale of this thing. It's huge and promises to tower over Splashin' Safari.

The World's Largest Rubber Duck- known as Mama Duck- stands more than 60 feet tall and it will plop its feathered behind down inside Splashin' Safari, Holiday World's popular and award-winning water park, from June 8th through June 21st.

Mama Duck will not be alone. She'll be accompanied by Timmy. Timmy is a 10-foot-tall rubber duck who will be positioned for fun crowd interaction and some up-close photo ops and selfies.

In addition to gigantic ducks, Rubber Duck Days will also feature brand new food items and "other duck-lightful surprises."

WHEN DOES HOLIDAY WORLD OPEN?

Holiday World opens to the public on Saturday, May 2nd for Platinum Season Pass Holders. On Sunday, May 3rd, the park is open to all Season Pass Holders. The dry park opens to the general public on Saturday, May 9th. Splashin' Safari will open for the season a week later on Saturday, May 16th.
