Sons of Habit Turn Heart Into Hope for St. Jude
One of our favorite local bands had an absolute whirlwind of a year in 2025. A few months ago, Sons of Habit members Mitchell Douglas, Hagan Edge, Dalton Daniels, Noah Patrick, and Jeffrey Parish joined us to chat about the wild ride they've been on the past several months.
They shared stories about playing iconic venues like The Troubadour in West Hollywood, selling out The Burl in Lexington, and tour stops with Dustin Lynch and Scotty McCreery.
They also joined superstars Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, and Noah Kahan at the Red West Fest in Utah and played a sold-out New Year's Eve show with Ole 60 at the Owensboro Sportscenter. As 2026 kicks off, they have announced some pretty exciting appearances already!
They've got like nine or ten major festivals booked and plan to add to that as much as possible. With a passion for playing music, meeting people, and seeing the world, they're about to kick things into gear. They're even going overseas! Check this out:
Their authentic sound is making some serious waves in the music industry, and they are just trying to soak in every surreal moment. Luckily, they have had a little time off to do some writing and recording! Mitchell told us they have been in Talco, TX, with Taylor Kimbell working on a new album. Kimbell is a producer/engineer who has worked with Koe Wetzel, Treaty Oak Revival, etc.
Not sure just yet when that release date is yet, but the fellas are super excited. You've heard a little bit of Annabelle already:
They were also super excited to join us for the 2026 Window World St. Jude Radiothon. A little nervous, but pumped to help the cause. We were joking that they play for HUGE crowds. Thousands and thousands of people, no problem. I know it was because they wanted to hit their goal and help the kids of St. Jude.
They all helped us tell patient stories and set the perfect vibe for an exciting hour. Plus, they pulled out all the stops. They are just the sweetest, most down-to-earth guys. We couldn't be happier for them and are so grateful they joined us today.
