Carnival Cruise Lines Wins Award for Groove for St. Jude [Video]

Cruise with a DJ is less than two months away and Jaclyn and I are working hard on our itinerary for our trip!  Over 150 WBKR listeners are joining us on the Carnival Elation as we set sail from New Orleans to Mexico.  One of the things we'll be doing on the ship, for sure, is Carnival's Groove for St. Jude!  On every single sailing, Carnival has a one hour dance party to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  As you all know, St. Jude is near and dear to our hearts and it's close to Carnival's too!  In fact, the cruise company just won a major fundraising award for its work for the hospital.

Carnival was presented the "Strategic Partner" award for it's Groove for St. Jude initiative.  On each Carnival sailing, passengers can purchase an official Groove for St. Jude t-shirt for just ten dollars.  That shirt gains them access to the Groove event and all proceeds benefit St. Jude.  It's a great way to raise awareness about the hospital and celebrate the fact the doctors, researchers, nurses and staff there save lives every single day!
