Rachel Mann and many of her closest friends graduated from Daviess County High School back in 1999. It was a few years earlier, when they were in middle school, that buses in the Daviess County Public Schools got FM radios. She says the bus drivers wouldn't play the local pop station, so they tuned into country. "90s country was the soundtrack of our daily commute."

Those fond, musical memories have certainly stuck with her and she's been cooking up ideas for a 90s country party for a long time. She adds, "I just needed a reason (excuse) to use it." Well, enter the birthdays of her friends Jamie King and Brad Logsdon. They're both March babies and Rachel decided to "lump them together" for a big, 90s country birthday bash- complete with a photo op in the back of a truck, 90s country-themed food and beverages, and, of course, 90s karaoke!

Naturally, everyone was encouraged to show up to the party in their best 90s country attire. Rachel and Christopher certainly did!

Lucas and John took advantage of the photo opportunity too.

Rachel also looked to some big 90s country hits to inspire the food and beverage table. Naturally, there was a big bottle of Jose Cuervo so guests could enjoy a "Straight Tequila Night."

There was Tracy Byrd-inspired watermelon.

Instead of a charcuterie board, there was an Alan Jackson-inspired 'Chatahoocherie!'

And, to help fight the effects of that Jose Cuervo, there was some S'mores-flavored coffee with a great Tim McGraw caption.

As fun as the food was, there's no doubt that one of the most popular features of the party was the 90s Country karaoke! Here's the birthday girl- Jamie- doing her best "Fancy" by Reba!

Of course, you can't have a 90s Country karaoke party and not have Garth Brooks up in the mix.

And every karaoke party needs some good duets. Rachel and Jamie decided to join forces for a particularly sober-looking version of "Life's a Dance" by John Michael Montgomery.

As Rachel says, "You can’t have a 90s country music party without 90s country karaoke!!"

As for her guests, it's unanimous. The party was a hit! Jamie (the birthday girl) shared this on Facebook. She wrote, "From the bottom of my Achy Breaky Heart, thanks for all the knee-slapping fun!"

If you're planning your own 90s Country party and some knee-slapping fun, here's a playlist that will get you started!
