Angel Here!  Yesterday I got to experience Ohio County Ag Days with the 4th Graders in Ohio County.  The whole day was a blast especially chasing piggies! This is the 21st year for Ag Days hosted by Luttrell Farms and the 4-H Extension Office of Ohio County.

4th Graders have the opportunity to learn about beekeeping and honey from the Ohio County Bee Keepers.  They also get to pay a visit to the folks from Perdue Farms where they get to learn about how chickens are fed and taken care of and the process it takes for making food.

The students learned about Pumpkins from the Ohio County Extension Office and tasted Pumpkin Pancakes, Pumpkin Seeds and real Maple Syrup made in Ohio County.

And finally, my favorite part, playing with the animals!   I actually got to pick up a pig which didn't go as I expected it might.  Pigs are a bit high maintenance!

I had a great time visiting Ag Days and hanging out with Farmer Luttrell.  I plan on returning next year!  Maybe the pigs will be happy to see me this time~
