Kentucky Wesleyan Singer Nadia Wilkes Featured in WBKR’s Denim & Diamonds Concert [Video]

Denim & Diamonds, our annual concert fundraiser for St. Jude, is coming up Friday, January 30th at Theatre Workshop's Empress Theatre in downtown Owensboro. And I am personally thrilled this young lady is joining us. Oddly enough, I first heard Nadia Wilkes singing at the KWC tennis courts. Lol! Not lying. My friend Craig and I were playing tennis and, all of a sudden, we heard this voice just booming from across the parking lot. Turns out, it was Nadia and she was ripping the song "I Am Changing (from Dreamgirls) a new one. I literally chased her across part of KWC's campus and invited her to be a part of this year's show. Here's a sneak preview of what you can except. This girl can sing her face off.

I want you to hear a sample of what Nadia can do. Here's a clip from her performance at the 2012 K-Dub Idol competition. She is the third performer you'll see and hear. And she absolutely blows the roof off the place. WATCH!

And check this out. Here's Nadia absolutely laying out "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele in the 2013 K-ub Idol finals. The crowd went wild!

See??? Just wait until you see Nadia live at Denim & Diamonds. I mean, I heard the girl sing near a tennis court and got chills. Just imagine how's she's going to sound on stage. Amazing!

Denim & Diamonds is 7pm CST, Friday, January 30th at Theatre Workshop's Empress Theatre (formerly Goldie's) in downtown Owensboro. Box office opens at 5pm on the day of the event. Doors will open at 6pm. And the show begins at 7pm.

All proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
