We didn't get a chance to talk about this last week because of our 2-day St. Jude Radiothon, but it is definitely worth revisiting.  Check out Jenny Beth Willis' performance of "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love" from American Idol's "Sudden Death" round in Las Vegas!

While Jenny Beth didn't make it through to the overall Top 20, she has a lot to be proud of.  She looked good and natural on camera.  She stood out from the other girls because she stayed true to her own fashion sense (so what if Vote For the Worst said she looked like an "upside down cupcake!")  And, Jenny Beth, unlike some of the other contestants (including Tenna Torres and Adriana Latonia who, somehow, advanced . . . despite singing off key for huge chunks of their songs) actually sang in tune and on pitch.  And she, thankfully, didn't drop the "diva" card like some of the others . . . specifically Angie Miller, seemingly this year's anointed songbird.  I am going to call this right now.  We are going to be really tired of THAT one by the time we get to the Top 5.  Mark it down.

So, way to go, Jenny Beth!  Congratulations on an exciting ride and for the making the most out of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

The final Sudden Death rounds of American Idol air 7pm CST tonight and tomorrow night on WEVV Fox 44.
