Moonlight Bootlegger 5K Coming to Diamond Lake Resort in May

Moonshine and exercise?  Yes ma'am!  I get to run a 5K, then throw back some moonshine for finishing the course?  Yes, sir!  This May, New Beginnings of Owensboro and Diamond Lake Campground and Resort are teaming up for a brand new and exciting 5K event.  It's the Moonlight Bootlegger 5K!

How much fun is this going to be?  I personally cannot wait.  I love to run and (Mom, don't read the next line, please!) I love me some good ole moonshine!  And the Moonlight Bootlegger 5K offers both.

"Transition back to the 1920’s Prohibition Era rum running and race through the wooded trails of the back country. Like our bootleggin’ ancestors, see if you can make it through the moonlit woods to get to the stompin’ grounds, where you can enjoy a nice glass of moonshine and flatfoot it to some old-fashioned bluegrass music."

ENTRY FEES

• $25 – first 20% of capacity
• $32 – 21 %  to 50% of capacity
• $37 – 51% to 75% of capacity
• $42  76% to 100% or after May 14, 2015
