For the first time ever, New Beginnings is hosting a golf scramble.  The inaugural event, which is open to experienced golfers and those who just want to have a great time helping out an important cause, is set for 8am, Friday, May 21st at Ben Hawes Golf Course here in Owensboro.

I am on the board of New Beginnings and the golf scramble came about following the cancellation of our annual Casino Night due to ongoing issues with COVID-19.  So, we decided to head to the great outdoors, hit the golf course and rally players and local businesses from around the area to spend a day on the greens with us.

The golf scramble will feature teams of four vying for prizes, including the chance to win $10,000 with our hole-in-one contest.  We have 144 total spots available.  As of this story, we currently have just over 60 golfers registered for the event.  So, we have plenty of room left and plenty of room for YOU!

It's just $400 for a team of four.  However, if you are a solo golfer in need of a team, you can register individually and be placed on a team the day of the event.  That cost is $100.

And, of course, all proceeds will benefit New Beginnings, which provides FREE counseling and support services to adult and child victims of sexual abuse and assault.

If you have a team and are ready to load up the golf cart and hit the course, you can get more information about the event and get your team registered by CLICKING HERE!
