Did you know that one in six children in Kentucky faces the pains of hunger daily?  Owensboro works very hard to combat through local food pantries and community meals.

KENTUCKY'S HUNGER RATES

Imagine being a small child and not knowing where your next meal will come from.  This is a real problem all over the United States and right here in the Bluegrass.  In Kentucky alone, more than 600,000 people deal with hunger and almost a third of those are children.

OWENSBORO WORKS TO COMBAT HUNGER

We are so fortunate here in our community to have schools, churches, and organizations that want to see this number diminish.  From the food bags that go home on the weekends in the school system to the free meals offered when school is out to all the food pantries and free meals.

HOW TO FIND FOOD IF YOU'RE HUNGRY

The Center here in Owensboro has released an updated list of all the food pantries and places that provide a FREE community meal for anyone who has a need.  We also have little blessing boxes sprinkled all over the city.  Click here for the little food pantries list.

Angel's Healthy Homemade Reese Cups

Angel here and my biggest downfall in healthy eating is staying away from sweets. I love candy and chocolate so much. I found a healthy way to make Reese Cups and I wanted to share.
