Rain rain go away, please? While we received another round of flooding in parts of the listening area, our neighbors in Tennessee received flooding rains nearly equal to the 2010 flood that took over Nashville. The flooding this time around has caused a landslide smack dab in the middle of a major interstate, I-24 eastbound.

In other words, if you live in Madisonville, Hopkinsville, and the areas that use the interstate to get to Nashville, you will need to seek an alternate route for at least a week; plan accordingly.

This February has been Nashville's seventh-wettest on record. A State of Emergency was also declared by Saturday afternoon. Currently, the official detour is where traffic is be rerouted onto Old Hickory Boulevard to I-65.

HERE is a link with other detour options along I-24 north of Nashville before the landslide.
